Stuffed Toys

If you had a hammock, bed or toy box full of stuffies in the 80s, this page is for you. Pretty much every toy line had some version of soft, stuffed toy even if only for their most obscure characters to accompany action figures. Big names you may recall are Popples, Wuzzles, Hugga Bunch, Koosas, Garfield, the many, many Disney characters, Care Bears, My Pet Monster, Puffalumps, Get Along Gang, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Brush-a-Loves, My Little Pony, Pillow People, Wrestling Buddies, Strawberry Shortcake, Smurfs, Rodney Reindeer, and so many more!

Remember those enourmous oversized animals like the FAO Schwartz giraffes and the 36″ Care Bears? And what lucky toddler had a soft ride -on pony?

This was also the decade for licensced patterns to make your own homemade toys. Whose gramma took all the time to make the ultra complicated Butterick Care Bears? Whose mum copped out and hand-sewed one of the pillow-type softies? And who was industrious enough to make their own?
