Television

TV was a major part of the 80s kid’s life. Latchkey kids coming home to an empty house flicked on the boob tube for entertainment and company. For the first time children had their very own networks popping up to cater just to them and two other big kid favourites, toys and food, were tied in to just about every show. Soon enough there would be 24/7 programming and channels galore but the 80s were the testing ground of what would stay and what would go in future decades.
