To our fans all over the world, Yello80s wishes you a very merry, bright, safe and holy Christmas celebration in 2014.Luke 2: 9-15 NIV translation: 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

From Luke 2:8-14 King James Version 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
A nearly forgotten Rankin / Bass animated special and version of A Christmas Carol, you might recall the song Yes There is a Santa Claus if not the actual special. The Stingiest Man in Town courtesy Slaughter Lindlay
This tv special from 1981 was based on the B.C. comic strips in the Sunday Paper which I barely remember- my family was more of a Family Circus/ Dennis the Menace/ Garfield household. This was obviously made from a VCR – oh the memories 😉 B.C. A Christmas special courtesy ytWIKILEAKS
Other than Footloose and the theme to Secret of NIMH and Back to Pooh Corner and oh yeah, just about everything on the Disney Channel when it was still a stand-alone subscription, Kenny Loggins also did some Christmas songs, most notably Celebrate Me Home. I’ve heard this is the worst Star Wars production ever made and it was only shown once in 1978 on CBS. We have here 1/2 of the special for the curious… Presenting The Star Wars Holiday Special…Parts 1/2/3 courtesy Jonas Knochelmann There are 7 parts to this special on Youtube but part 4 seems to be missing (there is a version with a bunch of juvenile commentary). If anyone has this and can upload please let me know I’d like to have the full 7 parts up for the marathon.

The score is by Irish group Clannad (Patriot Games, Last of the Mohicans) and you can hear Moira Brennan in vocals for the title song, A Dream in the Night.
