Merry -Go-Round ponies debuted in year 7 and were unique in that they had no cutie marks. Rather, their backs were covered in the colourful molded blanket and trappings of carousel ponies with a matching band around the back of the neck. Within the 6 ponies of this set there were no unicorns or pegasus ponies like in most other later G1 sets. Merry-Go-Round Ponies came with the standard flower-shaped brush and ribbon. These ponies also featured in the Merry -Go-Round My Little Pony board game from Milton Bradley.
